Why do you preach the law when are under grace? Don't we want people to know what Jesus came to save not condemn them? I don't understand the way of the master program...

Great question!

I hope that this explanation helps. After you read this, I also encourage you to go back to my blog (http://LoveTheLost.org) and listen to the two messages on the right sidebar titled "Hell's Best Kept Secret", and "True and False Conversion". These two messages will explain the use of the law in evangelism.

We use the law in evangelism because Jesus did (Mat 19:16-30), Paul did (Rm 3:19-20, Acts 28:23), James did (Jas 2:10), and Stephen did (Acts 7:53).

Now, we don't use the law as a *means* of salvation, but as a way to show the sinner that they have in fact sinned and fallen short. The law is good if one uses it lawfully (1 Tim 1:8). The law was laid down for sinners (1 Tim 1:9-10).

Paul admitted that he would not have known sin but by the law (Rm 7:7) and said that it is by the law that we have knowlege of sin (Rm 3:20).

Ps 19:7 states that the law is what revives, or converts, the soul.

1 Jn 3:4 defines sin as "lawlessness".

Gal 3:24 shows us that the law is a schoolmaster/guardian/tutor to lead us to Christ so that we might be justified by faith.

In short, we use the law because it is biblical.

I hope this helps.

In Christ,
-Jeff
